Teaching Experience:

Laurie began teaching Dance at a young age assisting at her local Dance School.

During her own training she continued to immerse herself in teaching and passing on the knowledge she was learning to others. This then turned into a huge passion of hers when not performing herself the next best thing is to inspire the next generation. Laurie has been lucky enough to teach up and down the UK, Ireland and as far as Austria delivering guest teaching and masterclasses.

Laurie is has spent the last 7 years as head of dance and foundation Gap course leader at Emil Dale Academy Hitchin Hertfordshire.

Since 2016, when she joined the college in its very early years, she has been an integral member of senior management helping build, shape and establish 3 incredibly successful courses. Including helping alongside the amazing team to write the BA Hons degree in Musical Theatre course which is now in its 5th year. Seeing an extremely high number of our students go onto further training at top Colleges, Dance Schools and training facilities over the UK (and in some cases New York) has been a huge privilege.

With the degree course now in its 5th year I am proud to say we have graduates in West End shows / Top Musicals on board top cruise ships as well as actors in various different commercials and Netflix dramas.

It has been one of my greatest achievements to have played a small part in the journey of some of these wonderful new artists who are beginning to make sustainable careers from the training provided.
